Grampians Film Society

The aim of the Grampians Film Society is to bring back to the big screen some classic films, as well as those which are lesser known but regarded in the cinema world as meritorious. In doing this we endeavour to cater for everyone’s taste, whether that be for comedy or musicals, drama or thrillers, documentary or animation. There is also a mix of Australian, American, and English and foreign films. Foreign films are subtitled in English when required.

Annual membership of the GFS offers you eleven films annually, from January to November. The GFS evenings are held at the Centenary Hall, 117 Grampians Road, Halls Gap.   Doors open at 7.00pm for drinks and nibbles prior to the screening which commences at 7.30pm. Supper is served afterwards with a chance to socialise and/or discuss the merits of the film.

Membership for the year is $50, $30 for a half year, or $20 for three consecutive months. There is no concessional rate.

Members are entitled to bring along a guest twice a year and the guest is naturally admitted free of charge. Visitors are also welcome but may only attend one screening before payment of membership is required.

The venue is the Centenary Hall, Grampians Road Halls Gap, which has a big screen, good acoustics, is air-conditioned in summer, well heated in winter and has very comfortable seating. Add to that a good film and a warm welcome and an enjoyable evening is assured.

See the Events Calendar for details of the next screening or check our website for the years program https://grampians.filmsociety.org.au
